Bolivia has gained a lot of prominence lately for the beauty of the Uyuni Salt Flats, but this country has far more to offer to an adventurous traveler. In the capital of La Paz (the highest capital city in the world), gondolas float over indigenous witch markets and homes. Just outside the city are ancient ruins and giant sandstone spires, plus the fascinating reed villages of Lake Titicaca. If you head inland, you will see charming colonial towns and evidence of dinosaurs that once walked the earth.
