ITINERARY
Day One:
Arrive in Singapore
Upon arriving in Singapore, transfer to the Rendevous Hotel.
Day Two
Singapore
Breakfast at the hotel. Today is free to explore Singapore.
Day Three
Kuching
Fly to Kuching and transfer to the Waterfront Hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore Kuching.
Day Four
The Orangs at Semonggoh
In the morning, visit the Semonggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Center for your first chance to see our distant, red-headed cousins, the Orangutans. The Orangutans at the Center are free to roam, so there is no guarantee of how many you will see, but they do like to join in the fun when it's feeding time.

In the afternoon, take a tour of city including the Tua Pel Kong Chinese Temple, Fort Margherita, and the Astana Palace.
Day Five
Sarawak Cultural Village
Visit the Sarawak Cultural Village to learn more about the many different Dayak tribes that live in Borneo. Enjoy a dance program at the village, then return to Kuching for a sunset river cruise.
Day Six
Fly to Kota Kinabalu
After breakfast, fly to Kota Kinabalu. Take a quick city tour before checking into the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort where you can spend the rest of the day swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing.
Day Seven
Poring Hot Springs
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Poring Hot Springs and stop along the way at the Nabalu Handicraft Market, which has a variety of goods from Sabah as well as excellent views of Mt. Kinabalu. Continue a local Dusun tribal village and learn about their culture before visiting the Kundasang War Memorial and Kundasang Market. Lunch along the way. Upon arriving in Poring, take a short trek through the forest on the Canopy Walkway and visit the Kipungit Waterfall. Check into the Sutera Sanctuary Lodge and relax in the hot springs.
Day Eight
Kinabatangan
After breakfast, drive to the Kinabatangan River (approximately 5 hours) where you'll hop in a boat to the Bilit Adventure Lodge. Start your stay with an afternoon river cruise to see proboscis monkeys and a wide variety of birds and other wild life. Dinner at the lodge.
Day Nine
Bilit
Take an early morning river cruise to spot animals and birds. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, take a guided walk through the rain forest to the Ox-Bow Lakes for more wildlife spotting. Lunch at the lodge before an afternoon river cruise. Dinner at the lodge.
Day Ten
Bilit
After breakfast at the lodge, walk to a nearby village to see what life is like in the jungle. Return to the lodge for lunch and then plant trees in the Mangrove Forest and have a guided jungle walk. Evening river cruise until nightfall. Dinner at the lodge.
Day Eleven
Sandakan
Drive to Sandakan, with a stop for lunch along the way, and visit to the Labuk Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, which is dedicated to the protection of proboscis monkeys, otters, lorises, birds, and other animals that call Sabah Province home. Afterward, take a tour of Sandakan city and visit the Sandakan War Memorial where the Japanese Army held Allied POWs prisoner and took on them on brutal death marches. Overnight at the Sabah Hotel.
Day Twelve
Sepilok
After breakfast, visit the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary, where you can get up close and personal with these amazing apes. You'll have a chance to see the baby Orangutan nursery if it's open, then walk across to see the Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Center to see this small, endangered bears. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the nearby Rainforest Discovery Centre for an afternoon of birding and wildlife spotting.
Day Thirteen
Onwards
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport and fly home - or maybe to your next destination!

Breakfast at the hotel. Take a city tour of Kuala Lumpur before heading to the stunning Batu Caves.
